Steve Ballmer reveals HP’s new tablet with Windows 7 at CES

Gizmodo at CES 2010 reports that Steve Ballmer has presented the new tablet from HP. It’s not the much awaited (and dreamed) Courier, tough. “They’re more powerful than a phone and almost as powerful as a PC. Perfect for reading, surfing the web and taking entertainment on the go,”, Ballmer said in its opening keynote. The tablets will be available on stores late this year.

While we are all waiting for the iTablet, Microsoft is sharpening its new devices. In this article Gizmodo shows the first images of the prototype of a new, astonishing and futuristic tablet. The real device (not the one in the images that looks more like a rendering) is already in the “late prototype” stage and it could be available soon. The device operates using a pen or the fingers.
